Would I carry the board?
You need to watch the movie if you really want to know what I´m talking
about. So let me introduce the movie and put in context. The movie that happen
in Iraq, shows teachers traveling all around the country looking for students,
but anybody wants to learn, they just ignore them, like they just were not
there. This movie make me think about the real meaning of passion in this
career. For me, a teacher in progress, show me reality of this job, that is not
easy, actually is one of the hardest jobs, because in your hands are many life
in game.
This tough movie will make you think better if you have what it´s need
it to be a good teacher. A teacher that not only gives you a lesson, a teacher
that can change your life. The quality of the teachers in the movie are not
that good, but that doesn´t matter, what really matters is that they want to
teach ´cause they know that it is important to know that knowledge it is
necessary learn what´s around you, and talking in that context, it´s more
important.
So
thanks to this movie I rebuild my point of view of the meaning about being a
teacher and it doesn´t matter how hard can the road, it´s just important to be
focus in what I like, and what I like is to teach. So the answer to the tittle
will be, yes I would carry that board, no matter what.
Now I will ask you the same questions that i did to myself. Would you
carry the board?
How do you think that could be your reaction to be rejected by your
students?
Thinking in the context of Iraq, do you think that the people who think
that is not necessary to learn are right, due to their culture?
I´m hoping that you can enjoy the movie as I did, I know that is
difficult due to the language, but please don´t focus on that and think more
depth.
1. I would carry the board and would to my best for my students.
ResponderEliminar2. I would be worry and wondering what should I do to get their attention.
3. They live in a hard context where the education it is not the main topic, but yes it is the main topic to end their wars and get a new better life.
I agree with you my friend
Eliminar1.I would carry that board because people needs to learn, no matter how and if i have to travel and teach just for the benefit of others, I´ll do it.
ResponderEliminar2. I will keep trying to make them faall in love of learning because rejection is not an option and obviously there will be people who don't care about study, but I do, I am their problem.
3.They need to learn but for now is not possible because they have other problems to solve, BUT study is necessary for all of them and someday somehow they will take advantage of all what happened to them,
I know, even the hard moment that they are leaving, you cannot lose your hope
EliminarMister Pipe.
ResponderEliminarFirst of all, many thanks for sharing with us these contexts. This is indeed the other part of the moon.
As many of us could have perceived, there are this type of masters who give everything from them and work from the heart, as well.
1. Sorry, lad, yet I cannot respond this one. It's very personal choice.
2. It would be like a kid of pedagogic fail. I'd feel so bad because we do not think of that type of acting from part of our students.
3. Actually, I do not know. I do not really know this culture. So it's difficult to answer in base of what you highlight.
You are right, but I said just think about it, don't put it in facts because it is hard to understand their point of views
EliminarHello...
ResponderEliminar1) We would carry the board because if you want to teach and that is your desire, you have to try even if many people say that is something almost impossible. "make your dreams comes true"
2) That is something that you need always to have in mind because each person is different and you are not a gold coin to like for everyone.
3) The context in which those people live is very different to us. They have their reasons to say that.
Yes! We as teachers need to do the impossible
Eliminar1. I think I would do it.
ResponderEliminar2. It would be disappointing but I would try different methods to catch their attention.
3. Maybe learning isn't their first option.
But learning needs to be the first option, and the teachers in that movie are doing that, showing that knowledge it's important
EliminarJust amazing, since I've been a child I've felt a terrific interest about those countries context because is not something you can find in a deep sense in books nor movies, yet this kind of movies, show us a different point of view of those rejected countries, is better to know the positive things that media tries to hide.
ResponderEliminar1.Of course I'd even carry the students.
2.It's something normal, but as professionals, we must learn to handle with that and start understanding that every day there's a new person getting born, so we have to set our mind to universal and try always not to please everyone but to inspire them by going over the difficulties.
3.Probable, in the last decades, they've been used not to study, but to survive to war, so while this "3rd work countries" start developing, yet that doesn't mean they can't study, maybe is just the lack of opportunities.
Thanks men, people like you give us hope in education
Eliminar1. I am not completely sure about it
ResponderEliminar2. I think that would be wear but if I can find the way to fix it I'd give them the best of me
3. Maybe the education not be the most important for them but the war is not the solution
